Blog - Melaleuca AlterufoliaTea Tree, also known as Melaleuca Alternifolia essential oil, is well-known for its powerful benefits with skin care.  It is derived mainly from the Australian native plant Melaleuca Alternifolia and has been widely used throughout Australia for at least the past 100 years.

Potential Uses:

  • Put 1 drop on blemishes to reduce break-outs
  • Add to shampoo to eliminate lice outbreaks
  • Add 3 to 5 drops to laundry as a freshener
  • Put 2 drops under arms as a natural deodorant
  • Rub 5 to 10 drops to bath for added moisture
  • Diffuse to create a spa-like environment
  • Place 2 drops on a cotton ball run over feet to remove foot odor
  • Add to water to use as a general household sanitizer

I added Tea Tree to my body lotion to help reduce the itchiness from my chronic outbreak of hives.
