Hi there, my name is Christonya Marchelle Hill. Cool name, right—I know my mom was quite the creative one. I wear many hats and serve in many roles as a daughter, sister, wife, aunt, homemaker, business executive, certified aromatherapist, blogger, and accountability partner.
My desire for transformation came as a result of enduring domestic violence, divorce, an abusive relationship, and financial ruin all before I was 35.
I am a down-to-earth woman, not always pretty or polished. I cry at the drop of a hat about the silliest things. Some days I have it all together and other days not so much.
God paved the way for me to go from surviving to thriving. I learned that perfectionism and people pleasing were misplaced coping skills of abandonment that fuel the traits of my destructive behavior. That denying myself of emotional or mental pain also robbed me of the ability to experience joy. That seeking value from the outside world led to an emotional roller coaster.
Although my pursuit of freedom from my past started as a teenager, it was not until 2004 that I began a journey of emotional and mental healing. My passion for healing has since turned into a personal mission to helping others find restoration, healing, and joy.
I am a former Assimilation Coach and graduate of Celebrate Recovery. I am celebrating over eleven years of recovery and continue to serve as a CR accountability partner. I am an active member at LifeAustin serving on the Prayer and LifeWomen Events Dream Teams. It also gives me great joy to be going on a decade of service and support to the Westover Peru Ministry.
Now that I make time to stop and smell the roses I enjoy DIY home projects, hand crafted cards, music concerts, eating exquisite food, and shopping for shoes. I believe every woman should have the perfect shoes for every occasion.
I am blessed to live in the Lake Travis area west of Austin, Texas, with my loving husband Dr. Thomas Hogan, aka Chef Tom, our spoiled rotten Labrador retriever, Lucky, and our spunky French bulldog, Rhingo.
